Dr Bammi is a committed and experienced international educator who completed his doctorate in history at Carnegie-Mellon University, Pittsburgh, U.S.A. and an M.A. in Social Anthropology at the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London, U.K.
He teaches social sciences and philosophy at Jakarta International School. Vivek Bammi’s knowledge of world religions is formidable. His understanding of Balinese Hinduism and the history and culture of Bali gives course participants a fascinating array of insights and perspectives, not just into the Bali of the past, but the complex realities of present day Bali as well. Dr Bammi is also an outstanding photographer who has published several beautifully illustrated books about Buddhist philosophy and Balinese culture and aesthetics. |
