This is truly a magical thing for kids to do, my 7 and 11 year old's were bored to tears, as they are and while I was at one of the supermarkets browsing the endless jargon posted on the wall, a colorful brochure took my attention. It was about classes and courses at a local gallery/studio that also catered for kids. I can tell you I was on the phone at the speed of light and Nita kindly offered to meet me at the studio with the children. We all agreed on the type and times for the classes and I happily left them in their capable hands.
The kids could not get enough and were incessantly nagging me to go back for more, hallelujah, more freedom for me, but most of all, my kids had the best time, they embraced and learned so much and now my 11 year old wants to become either an artist or graphic designer, mind you a rocket scientist would have been more his speed. Thank you for giving them an amazing experience, inspiring them and indulging me in a well deserved rest, careful though, they will be back, I promise.

Watch this video of a children's art class with students from the Bali Hati School.
Young students from Bali Hati came to the BCAC studio for a fantastic kids art class. Children were given the opportunity to explore their imagination through painting monsters and fairy-tales. After drawing their monsters in black ink the students could use straws to blow pigments around the canvas to give color to their pieces. |
